  • Williams Manor 3417 Friendship Road Apex, NC, 27502 United States (map)

Why should you Party for Peace?

TheGifted Arts received a wonderful invitationto attend and perform in New York for the World Youth Culture and Music Festival, sponsored by the Universal Peace Federation and the Sun International Peace Federation on Saturday, April 21, 2018. This will also launch the first-ever Global Youth Alliance for World Peace.

This conference and festival is a perfect opportunity for our students to travel, use their networking skills to create new relationships with peers across cultural backgrounds and differences, learn about the Universal Peace and Sun International Peace Federations, and to have the experience of performing in New York!! We can not make this happen without your support.

The Ask:

It is our hopes to afford the opportunity for at least one third of our current GiftedAcademy students to attend this special occasion. In order to make this trip cost effective, we have designed a series of opportunities for our supporters and those alike to help make this memorable experience possible and limit the financial burden for our families and attendees. Party for Peace is one of five key initiatives to reach our overall trip goal of $10,000.

Join us on Saturday, February 10th for a relaxed and fun evening to socialize, dance and donate. Bring a friend! We will provide light refreshments, music/DJ entertainment and the atmosphere. A minimum $25 donation is requested, yet you’re free to give more if you choose.

The Opportunity for Our Young People:

The “Together for Peace: World Youth Culture and Music Festival” is a gathering of youth leaders and youth cultural performers from throughout the nation. It includes:

  • musical and cultural performances from varied youth groups, including one by us!

  • an educational session on, “Elements for Peace”, which includes interactive group discussions

  • a chance to tour the United Nations

  • hear from influential presenters including: representative from the United Nations; Mr. Tom McDevitt, Chairman, Washington Times; Mr. Ricardo de Sena, President, UPF USA; national renown leadership and national youth leaders

  • apply networking, social, and leadership skills developed in TheGifted Arts with their peers
