Introducing This Year’s Theme: Jubilee
As we celebrate our 11th Purpose Beyond Performance anniversary, we're thrilled to unveil this year's theme: Jubilee. Inspired by the concept of jubilation and freedom, Jubilee represents a joyful celebration of Black joy, resilience, and cultural heritage. This year's fashion show will be divided into three captivating components, each reflecting a different aspect of the Jubilee theme:
Onyx: Elevating the Past, Embracing the Future
Transformers: Empowerment Through Action
Venus: Embodying Black Joy and Freedom
With just a couple of weeks left until the big day, excitement is mounting, as we put the finishing touches on our preparations. It's crunch time, and we're meticulously refining every detail to ensure a flawless performance. But our focus extends beyond the stage; we're equally invested in the internal well-being of our artists.
Alexis White, our dedicated learning and data specialist, has been conducting one-on-one sessions with our artists, fostering internal reflection and guiding their personal growth journey. These sessions not only bolster their confidence for the spotlight but also cultivate a deeper sense of self-assurance in all aspects of their lives.
As Alexis aptly puts it, "Every performance is a beautiful culmination of hard work and dedication, often moving us to tears with the full-circle moments we witness on stage." Indeed, as we delve into the final stages of preparation, both internal reflection and external effort are in full swing, underlining the importance of patience and perseverance.
Behind the scenes, our artists have found joy in collaboration and mutual support, refining their skills and boosting confidence with each step they take. Peer assistance has fostered a sense of camaraderie, turning our organization into a tight-knit family where everyone uplifts each other.
